Thank you for your interest in playing Joe Maverick: Legend of the Savior. A publicly available demo is available on Steam to download. You can get the most up to date demo via this link here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2883900?snr=5000_5100___primarylinks

There are also previous versions available for download below. Please note that these versions are outdated and use deprecated assets. However, in the interest of preservation I will be keeping them available.

IMPORTANT!! If you have downloaded any non-Steam versions of the game in the past, please delete your system data at:

Otherwise, these builds will not run properly!

  1. Enemy monsters now fight back in battle.

  2. You can stun enemies in the overworld to get an advantage, and they can ambush you to put you at a disadvantage.

  3. You can lose the game if all your characters die.

At least 8 gb of RAM is recommended to run this game.

0.4b build notes

  1. The camera is now functional. You can take photos by pressing "e" in the overworld. To save photos, you must save your game in the Pause Menu, otherwise the photos will be automatically deleted.

    1. To view your photos outside of the game, please navigate to Documents/JoeMaverick.

  1. The entirety of the battle menu is functional now! Enjoy using all the buttons to your heart's content.

  2. You can unlock items for the Gallery, Theater, and Sound Room.

  3. You can use skills in the Overworld.

  4. A new shopkeeper has been added, the Alchemist. Go to him for chemistry items.

  5. New items and equips have been added.

  6. You can inflict status effects and debuffs on enemies.

  1. Press "H" during a battle to win instantly!

  2. Still no gamepad input! I'll save it for the end in all honesty.

  3. Most features work.

  4. Large UI and animation overhaul.

  5. You can save and load the game.

  6. Very functional settings menu.

  7. You cannot take photos in the game. I am still figuring out why, as it works perfectly fine in the editor.

0.1b build notes

  1. There isn't any gamepad input. Will be added... eventually!

  2. You can complete simple quests and objectives. There's also a minimap.

  3. Small preview for the prologue of the story.

  4. New model for Joe. Custom animations and improvements to be added soon!

  5. Monsters in battle don't do anything on their turn, so it all happens at once. This can cause graphical overlays if you have status effects on them.

  6. The settings menu is pretty much just visual, so don't expect much from it.

  7. You can level up from battling and earn money.

  8. Certain moves don't do anything (they have 99 mana so you don't use them.)

  9. Class changing makes your stats 0. I simply haven't decided what to make them yet.

  10. You can't save or load yet.
