Hello all! Welcome back to my game journal series. This week, I've added more to the game, along with planning what to add. Read more to find out!
Life wise, I just returned from NJ. I went there for two days because my brother was getting married. Yeah. I don't really have much to say about it other than that. It was nice, I guess. Because of that, this journal has been a little delayed. Well, I'm making pretty good progress each week now, so I don't mind.
I will say though that I HATE flying. I had to take 2 flights going and coming back. The first one was with American Airlines, which wasn't too bad but I got stuck next to someone who hogged the armrest on my second connecting flight. Not too bad but mildly annoying. The turbulence was also really bad, to the point where I got knocked into someone that was walking into the aisle from my seat. My flights back were with Southwest Airlines, and the planes were much nicer, but they had three rows instead of two. So not only are there more people, there's also a middle seat. My first flight was delayed by an hour, so I had to literally run all the way across the airport to catch my second one. Southwest doesn't have assigned seats, so I got sandwiched between two guys in the back. I mean... could've been worse. I'm sure some girls would like that sort of thing. The guy in the aisle seat took FOREVER to leave though, and it really irritated me. So I'd rather fly American Airlines so I don't have to fly with as many people.
As for the game, I've implemented the entire story of the first half of Chapter one. That includes the first boss fight and first party member that you acquire. However, don't get too excited. It's really easy to add dialogue into the game (like a few mins really) BUT I still have to make the levels player-friendly. So a new build won't come out until I do some more 3D work. I have added another thing though, and those are save points.

Have you ever played a game that asks you if you want to save before continuing? Usually this is at the end of a chapter of the main story. I've just finished implementing this into my game as well. So whenever you finish a new day or a new chapter, you'll get the option to save the game afterwards. Plus, if you then load that save, you can start from the beginning of the next chapter or day! So yeah.
While I was on my trip I didn't want to just dick around in the hotel room, so I drew some concept art for the buildings I have to model in 3D. I should have some of them finished by the next journal now that the functionality is pretty much done.
With all that said, here's the video showing everything I've done.
