Hey guys! Welcome back to my game journal series. Did some stuff this week, and I'll show you.
First life stuff. More people are showing interest in my game which is kinda cool. I feel like working on it again, haha. If this continues, I'll be more on time with the weekly uploads.
I have kinda bad news though. My vision keeps getting worse. As in, every day I can tell it's slightly changed now. The glasses I just got aren't helping as much, things are starting to be blurry while wearing them too. I have a really bad feeling about it.
The worst change is that my central vision has begun to distort. Straight lines no longer look straight. Instead, there's a dip. The scientific name for it is "metamorphopsia." It looks like this (but the area is much smaller):

Reading feels so weird now. It looks like the letters are melting. Lol. I want to go back to the retina specialist again but at the same time I know that this is just a progressive stage in my condition. So I really don't know if he can do anything about it.
Well enough of that, this isn't meant to be depressing. I kinda figured out how to put 2D sprites in 3D. It was actually pretty easy lol, just had to add a Paper Flipbook to my character and bam.
I also did all 8 directions for Joe's idle. I'm not sure if I'll have him turn with the camera yet, but I think it's a good idea.

Here's a picture of him in-game. He's actually the same size as he was when he was 3D.

Doesn't he look kinda cool? I did like his 3D model too but at the same time it was bad on a technical level. It wasn't 100% symmetrical, and there were a few vertex gaps. Hence why I gave up, I am NOT remodelling him. Lol.
Next journal should be out this month. I started working on that other animation project again and this time I want to finish it. But I still want to work on the game too, so I might alternate between them. So yeah.
