Game Journal #73 - Animation Programming, 3D, Vacation

Hey all! Got another game update here. I added some new features, and I have a good roadmap for what I want to do for the next few journals too.

First, life update. I'm going to be traveling to Arkansas to check out the place I want to live in a few weeks. I'll be there for two weeks, so no updates during that time. I'm pretty positive that I'm going to like it there, but if I don't, I guess I can just look somewhere else. I'm definitely moving out of New Jersey this year though, no matter what. I can't take the high taxes, horrible drivers, and high prices any more than I have already. That being said, I'm glad I grew up here. Now I can be grateful for an easier lifestyle literally anywhere else!

Ok, on to the game. I learned how to properly code in animations, so now Joe walks as he should. It's actually pretty cool looking. I still need to make a run animation, but idle>walk looks great.

I also started making Dan's model. It's got everything except for his default clothes for now. What I'm thinking of doing over the next few months is creating a model for each main character and their default animations (walk,run, and idle.) That pretty much covers the entirety of the overworld, so you'll be able to walk around with whoever you choose in a future demo. Cool, eh?

I even changed up the battle mode a little. Originally, I had the layout where the enemies were surrounded by the characters, but I decided to change it to where everyone stands in a line. I think it looks better that way, but let me know what you think.
