Hello everyone! Welcome back to my game journal series. Today, I've got quite a bit to show, so let's get into it!
This is the last journal of the year. To me, I feel as though I've accomplished quite a bit since 2022. I didn't get to release the full game as planned due to my housing situation, but I did make another demo. So, I'm rather satisfied about where I am right now. 2024 will absolutely, 100% be the year the game releases though. There isn't much left to do, so I'm aiming for a summer release at the earliest. We'll see how it goes.
I also made a graphic to show my progress from this year and last year.

It's not too bad, I think. Things related to moving to Arkansas took up about half of 2022, so for the time I had left it's pretty good. The UI changes are what I'm most happy with. A good UI can take you a long way!
Anyway, house update. The house I'm buying cleared its title inspection, so now I'm just waiting on the situation with the roof to be settled. As far as I know, the seller will credit me with the amount I need to repair the roof from escrow because he doesn't have home insurance. I guess he bought it in cash...? Regardless, it's looking good. I've never gotten this far in the homebuying process before, so this is pretty exciting for me. I've been glancing at new homes coming up just in case, but not a single one has as many amenities or is close in price to mine. I really got the deal of the year with my home!
Now for the game video, as usual. I know some of you don't like (or don't have the time) to watch the whole thing each week, so I'm bringing back the changelog in 2024. That way, you can get a written representation of what changed.

I hope you have a happy new year! Also, nearly forgot to mention, but I got this awesome fanart by my friend SirEdigarious on Deviantart for Christmas. Why don't you go over and give him a follow!

Also, here's a gif of Dave Mustaine for no reason. Well, my 2024 resolution is to get better at guitar. So it's related... yeah... just look at those spider chords. I KNEEL!!!
