Hey all! Got another game journal here for you. This time, the game section is rather abbreviated. And why? Because I moved into my house this week! Woo!
As promised, I'll share pictures of my home. Keep in mind that I haven't fully set everything up yet, so the inside is still kinda messy. The house wasn't in the cleanest condition when I moved in, so most of my time was spent cleaning while unboxing. The carpet alone took me two days to clean... yeah. It was pretty bad. Honestly, if the previous owner had just cleaned the place, he could've raised the price by 30k. Lol. Well, I'm glad he didn't, personally!
I'll go room by room with these photos.

This is my living room. As you can see, it's rather empty. I'm probably going to keep it that way. I'm only planning on adding a small couch and a table to eat on. Do you like that tv stand with the led lights? I assembled it this week. That fireplace section was absolutely HELL to put together though. There wasn't nearly enough clearance between the walls of the middle section to fit your hands in, so screwing it in was an absolute nightmare. And of course, the instruction manual neglected to mention that in order to put the ambient rocks in, you have to open the fireplace from the front, which is only accessible through unscrewing it from the BACK. So I had to assemble the dumb thing twice. I was not happy that day. But the end result looks very nice and I'm pleased with it.
I also bought that nice flatscreen tv this week. It's 4k and 65 inches! It's absolutely beautiful to look at. I was watching my Bakumatsu Rock blurays on it, and the quality was just insane. Also yeah, I watch it for the plot. No other reason, none at all.
There's also that carpet I mentioned earlier. Originally, it was so dirty and stained that I planned on pulling it up. There were hardwood floors underneath, so I thought it'd look rather nice. Buuuuut... it's winter, and 10 degrees outside. So the more I walked on the carpet, the more I liked the idea of having one. So soft, so warm. My family's home in NJ doesn't have carpet, and I vividly remember walking on the ice cold floors. I didn't really want to relive that, so I decided to deep clean the carpet instead. It's still kinda stained in places, but it's much better than what it was. And it doesn't smell, which was the main reason why I wanted it gone. The previous guy that lived here smoked, and the smell was all in the carpet, and ughhhhhhhhhhh. Now it smells like a fresh Hawaii breeze! Dollar Tree, thank you very much.
Finally, I also installed those white blinds. They were actually about an inch short because the store didn't have my size. But I made it work... with the power of zip ties. Muwahahahaha! You can't even tell, right? My brainpower is astounding sometimes. I figure, it's my house, I can do what I want with it.

This is the kitchen. I know exactly what you're going to say. "That looks messy HaxMan, it looks like a hoarder's house" shhhhhhhhhhh. You see all that cardboard? That's like 10% of what was left after I unboxed everything. I just haven't taken it to the recycling plant yet. And all the crap on the counters? It's because I haven't cleaned where they'll go yet. Look at those cabinets on the wall. The ones with items in them have been cleaned. The rest? Filled with dust, dirt, and whatever else. I have NO idea how they got so dirty, or why the previous owner didn't clean them. But it's no condition to put food items on, that's for sure. So I've been cleaning as I go for the shelves. The undercabinet ones were the worst, particularly the one under the sink. Talk about mold, unknown dark substances, small black pellets (insect eggs?) It was YIKES fuel. I've never worn a dust mask to clean, but that was the first time I did. It's bizarre to me how people let something get so dirty. So yeah, basically everything in the kitchen was dirty, and I had to clean it. I still have to go to work, so it's taken me a few days. Also, the previous guy was renovating (I think) so some of the cabinets don't have doors on them. He was kind enough to leave me with the wood and handles for them though. I'll put them on eventually.

This is my bathroom/hallway. My house has an attic, and a dropdown ladder! It surprised me when I saw it in the inspection because I didn't notice it on my initial tour. But yeah! It's really cool. It also has a floor heater. It's nice for warming one section of the house, but it doesn't quite get into my office. Which is fine for me, because I keep electronics in there.
The bathroom is pretty simple. Amazingly, it was a lot cleaner than the kitchen. The undercabinet of the sink didn't need much scrubbing, and the toilet was very clean. All I had to do was add my stuff in, pretty much. Do you like my Bakumatsu Rock towels? Yeah, I know they're awesome. Just wait until I'm done setting up everything, I've got a ton more merch to show off.

This is my bedroom and office. It's great having a separate room for each. I'm using the traditional Japanese method for my bedding by using a futon and tatami mat. I've never really liked beds, because they take up so much space and are a pain to put sheets on. Futons are much better.
I do have a mini fridge in my office. It was cheaper than buying a full sized fridge, and I don't really need one anyway. So why not? You can also see that I still have a lot of things to unpack. Most of them are books, which I'm not taking out until I finally feel like dragging my bookshelf out of the garage for. So yeah. It does feel really nice having three monitors again.

Finally, here's my shed. It's actually a part of the house, so it's insulated! I'm going to use it as an art studio/gym/storage. I won't have to clear space off of my computer desk every time I want to draw on paper! Speaking of, that drafting table there? I bought it for 10 bucks at the thrift store. Yeah, really. I just about had a stroke when I saw the price. What made it better is that it was right next to Hobby Lobby, and I went in there to see the price of a similar table. The cheapest was 130$. So yeah, I'm thinking I got a good deal. Actually, most of the furniture you see here came from a thrift store or flea market. There's a lot of those here for some reason. Living the good life here in Hot Springs!
That's about all for house stuff. I'll make an updated version when I've unpacked everything and it's not so messy. But yeah, I'm loving it here. It's so quiet because I live on a dead end street, but at the same time it's close to stores that I visit often. I'm really blessed and lucky to have gotten such a great deal on a home.
Here's the game video. All I did this week was add summoning in battle, so I go over that. I'll see you next time with more stuff!
