POV: You're a game developer that realized you can use gifs as thumbnails for your blog posts for the first time.

What is up, mah dudes! Guess what? I finally, FINALLY, implemented weapon upgrading. Fun, eh! I know, UGH, I KNOW, I kept saying that I'd do it every week. And every week it wasn't done. Sad! My schedule completely changed, and I have way less free time. So, I can't get as much done as I used to. It's sad, but at least my wallet is happy.

The reality of the situation

Sigh. I can't wait to be done with school. I mean, I like it, sure. But all I really want to do is work on my game... I just want a quiet life, you know? A quiet life where absolutely nothing happens. You might think that's boring, but I like it. Really, the only thing I'm continuing to save for is a house. Once I have that, the time for wageslaving is over. Hopefully, anyway... please crash, housing market. PLEASE. Crash and burn with no survivors! (In Minecraft, of course.) The fact that billion dollar investment funds can buy all of the cheap starter family homes as "investments" and then rent them out is an absolute crime. I hope they all go underwater due to their greed.

Okay, with all that said, here's the changelog.

9/16/22
-Fixed visual bug where buttons other than Skip would be grayed out if you complete dialogue while still skipping.
-Walking away from the level up triggerbox destroys the widget.
-Upgrade Screen widget and most functionality
-When you click upgrade, a movie will play.

9/17/22
-Upgrade Screen animations
-You can skip the upgrade movie by clicking.
-Movie audio
-When going to a shop, the music will change.
-Added Clothes to the character screen.
-Redid the way that inventory is handled.
-Upgrade functionality

-Changed information acquisition from spawning objects to getting class defaults.
-Dialogue buttons appear in the center of the screen.
-Added buttons for category selection on upgrade screen.
-Created item and appearance icon for character screen.
-Amount that can be sold shows on sell button in shops.

9/19/22
-Created short animation for crafting.
-Fixed bug with crafting button activating twice.
-Fixed bug where shield was readded to inventory when upgrading.
-Made icons for each weapon type.

9/20/22
-Finished Upgrade screen layout
-New stats visible
-Weapon category selection
-If you click leave in Blacksmith, you can't click again.
-Each blacksmith has an upgrade bonus for a certain class of weapon.

-If crafting affinity while upgrading, 20% off is taken from the cost. for crafting, 30% is taken off.
-Weapon Icon type shows up next to name on upgrade screen.
-Crafting screen
-If the player finds a crafting blueprint, then give it to a blacksmith or tailor, it'll add to all of their inventories.

9/23/22
-Creation of "Drafts" category
-Added to Inventory Screen/struct
-Shopkeeper dialogue changes depending on what items you have in your inventory.
-If you go to the shop with a relevant item, you can give it away.

Pretty nice changelog, eh? I've been working overtime! Sometimes I only get a few hours of sleep a day. I have to strategically plan when and where I sleep. But yeah, I can't wait until I'm done with the shops. I want to get to battling! Anyway, here's the video. When I'm scrolling around in the middle, just skip it. Nothing of note happens.

Next time: Crafting should be done, you should be able to get messages when you find materials that you can use to craft, and some more icons should be drawn, too. That's what I'm planning, anyway! Oh yeah, and by the end of November, there'll be a demo you can download of my game. Isn't that nice! Stay tuned.
